Lodging at The Morris Estate | Policies and Terms & Conditions

Guarantee Policy
A deposit of one night's stay per room, including tax, will be charged at the time of booking. The remaining balance will be charged 30 days prior to arrival.

CHECK-IN | 3 pm - 5 pm. If your travel plans require a check-in after 5 pm, please call the after-hours phone number (269-222-1715) to coordinate your late check-in.

CHECK-OUT | 11 am. A late fee of $100/hr. will apply to check-outs after 11 am. After 1 pm, the full nightly rate will be charged.

PAYMENT | A credit card deposit is required upon reservation. Incidental fees or charges accrued during stay will be charged to the card on file. All payments are subject to the current MI lodging tax rate. Accepted forms of payment include cash or credit card.

FOOD | Breakfast is served daily at 9 am in The River House. Guests in the Blacksmith Lodge or Cabins may join for breakfast service in The River House. (**NOTE: Event or Wedding Groups may have a different schedule or meal service plan. Please confirm with your event host.)

The Cabins are equipped with kitchens and supplies, and guests are welcome to bring their own food.

The River House kitchen is accessible by staff only. Guests have access to a community wet bar with mini-fridge and microwave.

BEVERAGE | The River House has a full-service bar onsite which is open Thurs - Sun from 5-10pm to all guests on the estate. Per MLCC liquor licensing guidelines, alcoholic beverages must be purchased from The Morris Estate and consumed in common areas or the outdoor service area. Alcohol purchased offsite MAY NOT be consumed or stored in The River House common areas.

Guests in the Blacksmith Lodge, Millstone or Red Horse Cabins may enjoy their own beer, wine or spirits in their private rental.

For our guests' safety and comfort, please drink responsibly. Inebriated and/or disorderly guests will be asked to leave the property and forfeit all payments.

ROOM OCCUPANCY | Please adhere to the posted room occupancies. All overnight guest names must be listed on the reservation. No additional adults or children beyond the posted maximum are allowed. No guests may sleep in common areas, such as living rooms or basements.

PETS | Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate pets or emotional support animals.

MINORS | The Morris Estate welcomes guests over the age of 16 yrs old due to the quiet atmosphere and onsite bar. Minors under the age of 18 may not book a reservation at The Morris Estate. Proper identification is required upon arrival, and any reservation made under false pretenses will not be honored, and no refund will be given.

BUILDING ACCESS | Guests only have exclusive access to the suite, private home or cabin associated with their reservation. The estate grounds and common areas are accessible by registered guests and staff.

SMOKING, ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES/ACTIVITY, FIREARMS | The Morris Estate is a non-smoking and drug-free facility. Absolutely no smoking, vaping, or tobacco use is permitted inside any building on the property. Tobacco smoking is allowed outdoors only in designated smoking areas, never within 25ft of a building entrance, and all cigarette butts must be disposed of in receptacles. No marijuana, illegal substance use, or illegal/inappropriate activity of any kind will be tolerated. No firearms are allowed onsite. Extraordinary cleaning due to smoking will result in a $1000 fee to the credit card on file.

DAMAGES | Guests are responsible for any damages, and the credit card on file will be charged. Excessive cleaning needed after checkout will be charged to the credit card on file. This includes but is not limited to damages to furniture, fixtures, linens, towels, and flooring.

QUIET HOURS | During the hours of 11 pm and 9 am, we ask that guests enjoy quiet, relaxing activities and avoid creating noise that could disturb other guests or nearby neighbors.

EVENTS/VISITORS | Only registered overnight guests may access the estate, grounds, or amenities. The Morris Estate requests that all overnight guests be noted on the reservation. No events, parties, or gatherings are allowed onsite unless coordinated and catered by The Morris Estate.

HOUSE RULES/GUIDELINES | The Morris Estate offers many wonderful amenities like walking trails, campfire rings, games, and more. Guests agree to respect the house rules, guidelines, and policies posted onsite related to these amenities.

MESSAGING | By booking with The Morris Estate, you are authorizing The Morris Estate to send emails or SMS messages to the contact listed on the reservation regarding late-night check-ins, reservation details, and checkout times.
